In the run-up to last days of heated political campaigning on the part of two main political parties NDC and the ruling governing New Patriotic Party has given a lot to the general public and political watchers to talk about going forward. GhanaBa News consider President Akufo-Addo’s last day Assin Breku campaign statement “ vote for someone who can come to me and look for development project for the people of Assin North and not someone who will end up in a prison” as an unfortunate damaging political statement to have come from the mouth of President who is a known legal practitioner. GhanaBa News described this statement from the President Akufo-Addo as “Suicidal childish” political statement which really ditched “political prostitute” Charles Opoku, the NPP Assin North parliamentary candidate. A president in the caliber of a legal practitioner shouldn’t be making such irresponsible prejudicial political statement on high tense political platforms. It is sad to state that President Akufo-Addo and his handlers failed to gauge the political mood of the country and especially that of the people of Assin North constituency.
