Kwesi Amoako Atta, the Road and Highways Minister has hinted that government is taking steps to convert some major trunk roads in the country into dual carriage roads. The roads selected to be converted into dual carriage ones are Accra, Cape Coast Takoradi all the way to Tarkwa, Accra through Kumasi to Tamale and Paga . According to him, the realization of this may take over three years to complete. Government know that when these roads are turn to dual carriage, it will reduce the unnecessary carnage being experienced on our roads will be minimize.
