The Mercy Catholic Women Hospital administrator Martha Amoah has told Adom News team that management has quarantined two health workers and eight supporting staffs who attended to a suspected Covid-19 patient who was brought to the facility and has passed on whiles awaiting the report. She said management took this precaution measure to quarantine them as management awaits deceased report. This is to ensure that should should the result prove positive, so that they don’t end up affecting others. She is also appealing to NHIA to pay the facility to get some fund to procure PPEs. As private health facility, they are spending huge fund in providing PPEs for their health workers. This came to light when the Member of Parliament Ekow Kwansa Hayford distributed five hundred Veronica Buckets, blankets, sanitizers and liquid soaps to health facilities and lorry packs and markets in the Mfantseman constituency.
