The Bui Power Authority has provided Livelihood Support to persons affected by the project.
BPA’s flagship Livelihood Enhancement Program II started 2019
The purpose is to help restore and better the lost economy of the resettled PAPs (Project Affected Persons)
Per the arrangements of the LEP II, eligible PAPs were constituted into groups as either Standalones or Service Providers and adequately resourced by BPA with the required work tools/equipment and PPE to operate as independent entities. With the Bui enclave being a predominantly farming one, BPA constituted the Agricultural Modernization Module otherwise referred to cooperatively as the BPA LEP 2 Irrigation Farming Module with the aim of strategically investing into the farming exploits of the PAPs
120 farmers who are predominantly into Yam and Groundnut Farming.
A total of Ghc442,480 was donated to the farmers for disbursement.
CEO Kofi Dzamesi expressed his profound joy at the fact that, the BPA is enjoying a continuous working relationship with communities in the catchment area.
