Market leadership at Ayensudo, Kisi and Agona markets in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) Municipality are calling on the assembly for strict enforcement of mandatory wearing of face masks and adherence to social distance order to prevent spread of Covid-19 pandemic. The leadership complaint that they are not adhering to leadership directives hence, they are calling for police enforcement. The leadership made this appeal when the Municipal Chief Executive Nana Appai-Korang with his team visited these markets for inspection.
The Municipal Chief Executive Nana Appai-Korang urged traders at the various markets to adhere to the Covid-19 protocols especially mandatory face mask wearing, social distance and regular hand washing. He told Adom News Team that one out of the two Covid-19 positive cases recorded in the municipality has tested negative. The Municipal Chief Executive took turn to fix some of the face masks on the faces of those without it. The Municipal Chief Executive Nana Appia-Korang commended traders for complying to mandatory wearing of face mask and the social distance at their markets. The only challenge according to the MCE has to do with those in the Elmina town but the situation at villages is a bit ok.
