Ranking Member on finance committee Dr. Cassiel Baah Ato Forson has described President Akufo-Addo’s 2023 budget as the worse budget he has ever witnessed in Ghana. He has described the budget as budget that has already started collapsing marriages in the country before it implementation. He said the Akufo-Addo’s 2023 budget will collapse more marriages before the year comes to and end. He also said the budget has failed to show in clear terms how to tackle the growing unemployment challenges facing our teaming youth graduating from the various institutions. He described our current unemployment situation as serious security concern that must be addressed yet the budget has remained silence on it. He is calling on government to re-think about the situation before it gets out of hand. He made the submission when he was contributing to 2023 budget debate on the floor of parliament.
