The Member of Parliament for Hemang Lower Denkyira Constituency BRIGHT WEREKO BROBBEY who doubled as the Deputy Minister for Employment and Labour Relation has supported over hundred petty traders with GHC 500.00 each as working capital to assist them to revive their ailing small scale businesses. The NPP Central Regional Treasurer FRANCIS ASARE who presented the cash to the beneficiary traders told our news team that it is a support that the MP is giving to the petty traders whose small scale businesses has been hit by Covid-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war and recent flood that hits Jukwa which has affected several small businesses. This is to enable them revive their businesses.

Some of the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the Member of Parliament for the gesture. They pledged not to use the fund for delicious soup for their husbands and kids but rather will invest it into their businesses to grow the business so that it can motivate the MP to do more for their colleagues who couldn’t benefit from the support.

The Constituency chairman ABOU FAROUK used the occasion to urge beneficiary traders to make good use of the fund so that it can revive their businesses. He told our news team that they have put them into groups so that they can open bank accounts and do savings that could qualify them to take loans to expand their businesses.
