Afenyo-Markin, the Member of Parliament for the people of Effutu Constituency has run to media (Adom TV) to use the media to do damage control to avoid arrest by the police. It will be recalled that when he led the NPP and alliance for political parties to stage #SaveTheJudiciaryDemo, there was scuffle where demonstrators wanted to go beyond a barricade section  to allow leadership to go and present their petition to Parliamentary leadership. During the confrontation, the Minority Leader Alexander Kwamane Afenyo-Markin was caught on a camera hitting a police officer. The video of the Minority Leader Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin went viral on social media platforms prompting serious condemnation about his behaviour and a call for his arrest and prosecution. Considering backlash and a call for is arrest, investigation  and if found guilty, he must be prosecuted. Afenyo-Markin releasing public criticisms against him, quickly wrote to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to lodge complaint against the said police. He also run to Adom TV to explain his side of the story. He alleged that the said Police Officer hits him at his chest where his heart is making him unable to breathe. The question the public is asking is that how come the narration Afenyo-Markin is giving is not captured on any of the cameras that were available .
