Asare Bediako David, a senior citizen is urging the security hierarchies in-charge of security agencies in the country to do everything possible to check security brutalities being meted out to innocent citizens of this country. He said, these security brutalities if not check can lead to public loss of confidence in the security. He was commenting on recent Ejura shooting which led to loss of lives and the military brutalities that happened at Wa.

Some citizens who spoke to Adom News expressed their fears about these security brutalities. These happenings will make difficult for them to even volunteer information or go to the security to seek justice. They are appealing to the security hierarchies to investigate and punish the culprits. The punishment that will be given to the culprits should be made public as it will restore public confidence.

The Parish Priest in-charge of Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Amanful in the Cape Coast Metropolis Rev. Fr. Samuel Asante is appealing to the bereaved families of Ejura and the youth of the area to keep calm as investigations underway. He also had a word for the security not to abuse their mandate instead they are to protect the state and the citizenry as these brutalities destroy the image of the security. He made the appeal when he led the church in adoration to pray for the Ejura bereaved families, the security agencies and the country.
