METHODIST HIGH SCHOOL LAUNCHES 40TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION – C/R Saltpond

 Saltpond Senior High School in the Mfantseman Municipality has unveiled a number of activities to mark its diamond jubilee celebration planned to kick-start next year
The theme for the anniversary celebration is: “Reflecting on the past and strategizing for the future”

The new head master of the school Rev. Ebenezer Aidoo who took over on Friday October 14th, 2020 in his speech applauded His Excellency the President of the land Nana Ado Dannquah Akuffo Addo for implementation of Free Senior High School.
This is because the student’s of the school were ten(10) in numbers as the school started for the last 39 yrs but now containing thousand plus of students

Rev. Ebenezer Aidoo appealed to ministry of education, Member of Parliament in the constituency,Old students,Assembly members,Nananom , NGO’s and individuals to support the development of the school
“At the moment, only the senior Housemaster and the Mistress are residing on the school compound. Two teachers taking care of over one thousand (1,000) boarding students; your guess is as good as mine. Some students do take advantage of their brief absence to misbehave,especially on weekend,New dinning hall needed, lack of computers,New 6-unit class room blocks – contract awarded; work not yet started due to lack of space”.

Touching on the school’s challenges, the MP who is also a Member of defence and interior committee in Parliament Hon. Ekow Kwansah Hayford said the government would expand infrastructure at the school through GETFUND.
Hon. Ekow Kwansah Hayford in his speech addressing the students promised the school management and the students that he will make sure that the school get new Dinning hall, three (3) computers,new school bus ,donate 15 Class room chairs and assist the launching with the amount of GH¢500

Mr Kweku Taylor old student and board member of the school management challenged current students to emulate the shining examples of their predecessors to keep the banner of the school aloft.
